WEDDING DAY AGENDA

13:00: Check-in starts.
Sheets and towels are available. When you arrive you will be greeted by someone who will guide you to your assigned room. Please observe that the rooming assignments sometimes are more than 2 people, as there are a limited amount of double bedrooms available, and a lot of the rooms are for 3-4 people. We have assigned the rooms so that if you share a room it is with someone you know well. The rooms are located throughout the different buildings on the grounds, but they are all very close together (no more than 100 meters apart).

15:00: The ceremony starts.
If the weather allows, the ceremony will be held outdoors down by the lake, about 50 meters from the castle. Please make sure that you are seated at least a few minutes before the ceremony starts. If it’s raining a lot, we will move the ceremony inside, in the castle. You are more than welcome to take pictures during the ceremony, just make sure that the sound is off and that it doesn’t disturb the ceremony!

16:00: “Brudskål”
I.e. toasting with champagne and some hors d’oeuvres in front of the castle (inside the castle if it’s raining). This will be the time for you to greet us (the bride and groom) for the first time that day. Here the photographer will also take pictures of the whole wedding party so be ready with your best smile!

18.00: Dinner!
There will be a 3-course sit-down dinner with drinks (non-alcoholic drinks are of course available for those who prefer that). The main course will be fish, so if you prefer a vegetarian/vegan option please let us know ASAP. If you wish to make a toast, this is the time to do so! Please let our toastmaster Jonas Karles know in advance if you want to speak, so that he can set up a schedule (his contact details are further down).

After dinner: The party starts!
There will be an open bar and plenty of music!

Later in the night: “Vickning”
I.e. midnight (or later) snack! This is very typical for Swedish weddings since it lets us fill up with energy and continue the party late into the night.

The day after: Breakfast will be served between 09:00 – 11:00 in Östra Flygeln.

TOASTMASTER + SPEECHES

Toastmaster
Our dear friend Jonas Karles will be our toastmaster for the wedding. If you have any questions during the day, feel free to reach out to him on +46-737 041 367 or jonaskarles@gmail.com.

Hostess
Gabriel’s dear stepmom Josefin Viklund Kamienny will be hosting the event & help Jonas ensure that everything runs smoothly. If you have any questions the days before or during the wedding, you can reach out to her on +46-707 928 303 or josefin.viklund@gmail.com.

Toasts/speeches
You are more than welcome to make a speech if you’d like! In either Swedish or English. 🙂

To make the evening run smoothly Jonas will keep track of all speakers and plan the order. Please let him or Josefin know beforehand if you wish to make a toast!

ACCOMMODATION & LOGISTICS

Accommodations:
There is room for everyone to stay at the castle/surrounding buildings, and most people have already let us know that they wish to stay. If you wish to stay but haven’t let us know yet, please do so ASAP. The cost is 750 SEK/person.

Payment for accommodation:
Easiest done by Swish (for our Swedish guests) to 073-0807977 (Melinda’s number), or by money transfer to 5001 18 244 84 (SEB). For our international guests, it is possible to use payment by transfer to our bank (SEB), account number: (IBAN) SE88 5000 0000 0500 1182 4484, (BIC) ESSESESS.

Note: please pay before 17th of July, or inform us if you can’t and we will cover your cost until you arrive and can pay by cash.

Address: Rockelstad Slott, Rockelsta, 649 91 Sparreholm

Transportation:
It is by far easiest to get to the castle by car, it is about 30 min driving from Nyköping, about 1.5 hrs from Stockholm. There is a bus that goes from Nyköping to Rockelstad (bus 701), but then you have to walk about 1 km to the castle from the bus stop. Easiest if you don’t have a car/a ride, is to contact someone you know who is also going and see if you can get a ride with them! Otherwise you’re welcome to contact us and we will help you figure it out.

OTHER RANDOM INFO

Pets/children:
While we love your children and pets, we prefer if you leave them with a sitter/at home during this time, as we want to celebrate with our adult friends and family. As for pets, there are guests who have allergies (and we’re not even sure if they’re allowed in the castle!). Children who are still breastfeeding are of course welcome.

Dresscode:
We prefer if you wear something you’re comfortable in and that makes you feel nice! The ceremony is outside and the walkway is gravel, so make sure you have shoes that you can walk in.

Note: we recommend that you bring your swimwear as the castle is right next to a big lake, and there is also a sauna.

Gifts:
You taking the time and effort to come celebrate with us is really the only thing we wish for, and we have most things that we want already. We have however been threatened with a number of toasters if we don’t provide a wish list, and therefore you can find one here: link.

You are also more than welcome to donate any amount to Barncancerfonden in the name of Gabriel’s late brother Sebastian Viklund.
